Q: When are the pairings for each round decided?

  • The pairings for each round are decided on Sunday, May 25th, the day before the round. The pairings draw is random, and players themselves draw who they will be playing against. We typically announce pairings on that same Sunday (in the evening), latest Monday morning. The tournament follows a double round-robin format, meaning each player meets every other player twice, once with white and once with black.
