In case 2 players or more share the first place:
1. If 2 players share the first place:
The blitz play off will be held when all the 4 games are finished at the Stavanger Concert Hall. The 2 players will have minimum 1 hour break after they finish their round before they start the play off.
If the match ends in a tie, there will be an Armageddon game where white has 4 min. and black has 3 min. Both players will receive an increment of 3 seconds per move starting from move 61. In case of a draw, black is declared winner.
2. If more than 2 players share the first place:
The double round robin tournament will held on Friday 8th at 12 pm at the Clarion Hotel Energy.
The players will receive the pairings by email on Thursday 7th.
The tie-break of the double round robin tournament will be :
1: Sonneborn-Berger points.
2: Most wins.
3: Most wins with the black pieces.
The winner will be the player with the highest score or the best tiebreak
For the first place, if 2 players have the same sum of points and the same 3 tie breaks (Sonneborn Berger, Most wins, Most wins with black pieces), it will be an Armaggedon game.
If more than 2 players have the same sum of points and the same 3 tie breaks for the first place, there will be a new round robin tournament
The remaining players will share their money prizes
