The total prize fund of each of the tournaments (Norway Chess and Norway Chess Women) is 1 690 000 NOK.

Distribution of prize money occurs as followed:

#1 NOK 700 000

#2 NOK 350 000

#3 NOK 200 000

#4 NOK 170 000

#5 NOK 150 000

#6 NOK 120 000

Prize money will be shared among the players with the same score. This does not apply to the first prize. If players share the first place, there will be a Play-off or double round-robin tournament to decide the winner.
