It’s with great pleasure we can announce that previous World Chess Champion, Vladimir Kramnik, will be back in Stavanger to play in the 2017 edition of Altibox Norway Chess. Kramnik has participated in Norway Chess twice before, once in 2014 and once in 2016. Kramnik is currently number four on the live rating list!

He states:

“I am sincerely glad to come back to Stavanger for the next Altibox Norway Chess edition. Surprisingly, I have discovered that I have quite many fans there and hope to be able to meet their expectations.”
