Shakhriyar Mamedyarov has played phenomenally the past year and has climbed up to the Top 10 of the world’s best chess players. How will he do in Altibox Norway Chess? An interesting player, and his first time in Stavanger.

Fabiano Caruana (USA)

American-Italian, Caruana, will be back in Stavanger playing for the 4th time, but he has yet to win the tournament. Will it be lucky number 4? Let’s see!

Sergey Karjakin (Russia)

Karjakin won Norway Chess in 2013 and 2014 making him the only player that has won the tournament more than once!

Hikaru Nakamura (USA)

Wesley So (US)
