They meet over the board annually in Stavanger, Norway, in a tournament that has been dubbed \u201cThe Wimbledon of Chess\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cPURENorway Water is proud to collaborate with Norway Chess, one of the world\u2019s strongest and best-known chess tournaments,\u201d says PureNorway Water CEO Even Ovnerud.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cNorway Chess has shown that they are innovative and creative, and the tournament\u2019s values makes it a great match for us. Sustainability and social values are important elements in our daily work, and through Norway Chess we will reach an important audience ready to influence the future\u201d, says Ovnerud.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">PURENorway Water is capturing the essence of Norway, the sustainable way. The water comes in still and sparkling, and with different flavors. It is bottled in environmentally friendly and recyclable aluminum cans, creating no plastic leeching. With a close to zero-carbon footprint, one percent of the company\u2019s turnover goes to cleansing the world\u2019s oceans for plastics. At this year\u2019s tournament, and the next years to come, visitors can experience the water for themselves.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cWe are happy that a professional player like PURENorway Water, with focus on sustainability and social values, has entered into a collaboration with Norway Chess,\u201d says director Kjell Madland of Norway Chess.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em>\u201cWe are very much looking forward to this cooperation, and we are proud that PURENorway Water sees the value in being part of one of the world\u2019s strongest chess tournaments,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0says Madland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This year\u2019s tournament takes place September 7-17 in Stavanger.
