For the third year in a row, we are proud to bring\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/b>in\u00a0<\/b>the Norwegian watch brand; Von Doren, as Official Timekeeper for Altibox Norway Chess.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Former filmmaker \u00d8yvind von Doren Asbj\u00f8rnsen has a passionate relationship with chess. Among other things, he directed the film “The Prince of Chess” in 2005 and was co-producer <\/span>of\u00a0“MAGNUS”. In 2016, he put <\/span>his camera to rest\u00a0for a while to follow <\/span>his\u00a0childhood dream, he wanted to create a Norwegian <\/span>watch\u00a0brand of outstanding quality<\/span>. And here too, <\/span>chess was to be an important source of inspiration.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grandmaster watches for Grandmaster players
\n<\/span><\/u><\/b>Von Dorens flagship\u00a0<\/span>timepiece\u00a0is named Grandmaster and is inspired by the strength and effort of a chess player to achieve the title of Grand Master. For Altibox Norway Chess 2017, Von Doren designed a completely unique collection <\/span>of 25 <\/span>timepieces called Grandmaster Ca\u00efssa, and all participants each received their own. The remaining\u00a0<\/span>pieces\u00a0<\/span>were immediately sold out. In 2018, the winner of Altibox Norway Chess, Fabiano Caruana, received an exclusive Von Doren Grandmaster Mark II produced in only one sample. First-class craftsmanship combined with a solid foundation in chess makes Von Doren the natural choice as <\/span>The Official Timekeeper – also in 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>The creator of th<\/span>iswatch <\/span>brand, \u00d8yvind Von Doren Asbj\u00f8rnsen says that with the introduction of the new and exciting rules <\/span>inthis year’s <\/span>long-haul tournament, the time aspect may<\/span>be more important than ever. <\/b><\/p>\n

Limited edition Norway Chess watches
\n<\/span><\/u><\/b>Players, audiences and chess fans <\/span>will be offered a unique and exciting surprise this year.\u00a0The\u00a0<\/span>three official Norway Chess timepiece models will be produced as \u201cLimited Edition\u201d\/ \u201cCollectors choice\u201d and shall be timely due for sale in May.
