From 2026, Norway Chess and Norway Chess Women will be held in <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Oslo, with Deichman Bj\u00f8rvika serving as the main venue. The tournament will take place <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">from 25 May to 5 June 2026, and Magnus Carlsen is among the world stars heading to the <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">capital.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Since its launch in 2013, Stavanger has been home to Norway Chess. The city has given the <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">event a strong identity and helped make the tournament a highlight on the international <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">chess calendar.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p2\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Thank you to the City of Stavanger<\/span><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cNorway Chess would not have become the event it is today without the cross-party <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">political support and the generous welcome we have received in Stavanger. Deichman Bj\u00f8rvika will host both <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Norway Chess and Norway Chess Women.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u201cWe see great opportunities in establishing Norway Chess in the nation\u2019s capital. The remaining participants will be announced in the coming weeks, along with the line-up for Norway Chess Women.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Norway Chess will be held for the 14th time, and Norway Chess Women for the 3rd time.
