In collaboration with local chess clubs, we invite you to play at the Clarion Hotel Energy in Stavanger.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Scheduled from May 24th to May 30th, the tournament features two main groups: the Grandmaster (GM) group for players with an ELO of 1800 or higher, and the ELO group, open to all participants, both engaging in a 9-round Swiss tournament.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Participants must register via Turneringsservice by May 15 at 23.00 hours, with late registrations accepted if space permits. Entry fees can be paid during the on-site registration on Friday, May 24th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0The tournament follows the FIDE standard time control, with 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, 30 minutes for the rest of the game, and a 30-second increment from move 1.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Generous cash prizes await top performers in both the GM and ELO groups. The GM group offers prizes ranging from 2500 to 100 Euros, with additional awards for the best female player, best female player by ELO performance, and best senior player (born in 1974 or earlier). The ELO group offers cash prizes from 400 to 150 Euros, with additional awards for the best female and best veteran player (born in 1974 or earlier).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For those seeking more action, the Norway Chess Weekend Tournament kicks off on May 31st, offering five rated rounds until June 2nd.
