On February 1, we had a successful event together with the association Chess Against Breast Cancer, which raises funds for the breast cancer research group at Stavanger University Hospital (SUS)<\/span><\/p>\n

Even with a serious topic, the humor was hanging loose and the atmosphere was very good! We got a great lecture from. Dr. H\u00e5vard S\u00f8iland and absolutely beautiful singing and music from Marita St\u00f8lsmark and a fun magic show from Stig Egeland (how did he do that?)<\/span><\/p>\n

Janne Johnsen led us through the event in a fabulous way and was great at encouraging the audience to donate to the cause.<\/span><\/p>\n

Part two of the program consisted of simultaneous chess where Maud R\u00f8dsmoen played chess against 14 participants, most of them sponsors and contributors to the association. Several mayors and deputy mayors were present, for which we are very grateful! It is an important cause to highlight.<\/span><\/p>\n

We would like to thank Clarion Hotel Energy for letting us stay with them and for providing us with delicious food and very good coffee!<\/span><\/p>\n

Thank you to TV Vest who made a commercial and ran it on TV for 2 weeks before the event!<\/span><\/p>\n

Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the event and to everyone who came.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last night’s event raised almost NOK 280,000 and 100% of the funds go directly to the breast cancer research group at SuS.<\/span><\/p>\n
